STRANGE GARDEN – Drop-in participatory workshop

Come along anytime between 10-4pm on Sat 18th April to the Cavendish Primary School Stadium and help us create – repurposing cardboard… a strange and beautiful garden!

Strange Garden is a participatory workshop that engages the community in building an installation out of cardboard, representing a fantastical, abstract garden. We repurpose flat, bland cardboard into something organic, intricate and beautiful. A magical garden is created for families to contribute to, to peer into, to explore and enjoy!

Explore patterns and 3D shapes through drawing and building sculpture. Find patterns in the environment to draw and then use templates to create your own cardboard shapes and sculptures, to place in the installation. Together we’ll build a strange, beautiful, cardboard garden
This activity has been enjoyed by participants from age 4 to those in their 80s. It works particularly well in inter-generational groups with parents / grandparents and children working together to build their ‘plants’.
